I am because we are.

Ubuntu Across Boarders moves resources to where need is. We fund education, health care, hunger relief and conservation work with communities in South Africa and across the continent, and we publish what happens next.

Our foundation

Ubuntu is a practice, not a proverb.

Umuntu ngumuntu ngabantu: a person is a person through other people. We take that as an instruction. Where need stops at a border, we cross it with money, time and skill, and we account for every rand afterwards.

We listen first

Programmes start with the people who will live with the results. Local voices set the priorities.

We act with, not for

Volunteers, donors and partners work alongside communities. Support arrives as partnership, with dignity intact.

We publish the results

Appeals state where money goes before they open, and report after they close. Questions get straight answers.

What we fund

Four programmes. One standard of care.

People live whole lives, so we fund whole communities.

Lighting Minds

Education & Youth

School materials, tutoring and mentorship for learners who lack them.

Healing Hands

Health & Wellbeing

Screening drives and practical support for sick, elderly and caregiving families.

Shared Tables

Hunger Relief

Feeding programmes and food parcels for households in crisis, run so that no one eats alone.

Living Earth

Environment & Animals

Clean-ups, food gardens and animal welfare work. The programme that led us to Rwanda.

Red Rocks Rwanda is open for support.

Red Rocks Initiative for Sustainable Development works with the farming communities around the Virunga volcanoes, where mountain gorillas live. They protect forest and wetland through schools, gardens and small business, and they have done it for over a decade. We are raising support for them this season. Every rand goes to their own accounts. We hold none of it.
